FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LIBERTY, MISSOURI (August 15, 2007) – Come out and enjoy what thousands witnessed last year, the Liberty Corn Maze is announcing their 2007 season opening.

Offering an exciting and outdoor alternative for fall activities, get togethers and celebrations, the Liberty Corn Maze is announcing a seasonal opening during the weekend of August 31st, 2007.

The theme of the Liberty Corn Maze for 2007 is "Salute to the MU/KU  BORDER SHOWDOWN".  It is a series of four interactive mazes with maps, check points, questions, and over 380 feet of bridges throughout the maze to create adventure for all ages.

Since 2005 is a HyVee Lil’ Sprouts Soybean Maze to provide additional fun for the younger mazers. This mile trek winds through a field of soybeans, shorter in height, providing fun for the youngsters that might find the nine-foot tall corn field a little challenging.

Agritourism is the new face of agriculture across the country and has gained popularity in the past five years with increasing numbers of u-pick farm stands, pumpkin patches and now corn mazes. The Liberty Corn Maze incorporates traditional farming practices and new technology with GPS mapping systems creating intricate detail by cutting 4-foot-wide trail into a design that makes for a spectacular aerial view.

"We want to give people a chance to come out and enjoy the country and we think that our maze design will be exciting for the fans and non-fans in the area," says Bernie Raasch, co-owner of the Liberty Corn Maze with his brother Errie, both natives of Liberty, Missouri. "Last year many people came out after dark and had a great adventure, we encourage everyone to bring their flashlights and join in on the fun," says Errie Raasch.
